Reflections and Revelations

Wicken Fen

This series was the outcome of a collaboration with fellow artist, Sally Tyrie. For two years we visited Wicken Fen Nature Reserve at different seasons to experience the unique landscape and environment of the Fen. An exhibition at Babylon Gallery in Ely in April 2018 represented the culmination of this project. We each developed a series of new work based on our observations and lines of interest resulting from these visits.

At Wicken Fen itself, Hidden celebrated some of the small and often overlooked details of the Fen. We installed small pieces of mixed media work in selected hides on the reserve to invite visitors to share in some of the less obvious insights that inspired them. I wrote about this in a blogpost here.

A catalogue was produced to accompany the exhibition (now sold out).
